Response
The Local Government Reorganisation in Kent and Medway has been paused pending a review by the Government. Prior to this announcement, Dover District Council had included a special projects budget of £550,000 within its 2026/27 Medium Term Financial Plan. To date, no expenditure has been charged to this budget. In addition, a revenue budget of £34,300 was allocated in 2026/27, of which £2,400 has been spent during the financial year to date.
