  1. How many times over the last three years has the Dover Tram Shelter been inspected?  Please provide the dates of any inspection in this three-year period and copies of reports on the condition/state of it for each inspection?
  2. As the tram shelter is rapidly decaying as highlighted three months ago, what remedial action is the Council taking to preserve this "listed" structure?

Response

1. Works and inspections are carried out by the Council's in-house maintenance team, as follows: 

03/08/2023 – paint repaired section of edging trim to match existing colours

11/04/2024 – reglaze broken glass and remove graffiti

03/02/2026 – maintenance inspector carried out an inspection of the condition

16/02/2026 – check tram shelter for any repairs including structure, glass, decorating

2. A local company has been employed to carry out a full refurbishment to the metalwork, glass and paintwork.
