Response

  1.  It is not clear from your request what you mean by ‘works of art’ but from the tone of your subsequent questions that revolve around sales and purchases it looks as though you are trying to analyse information relating to items of monetary value.  The Council’s Dover Museum and Bronze Age Boat Gallery is an Accredited Museum under the scheme administered by Arts Council England and they do not sell works of art.  It appears you are trying to determine information about paintings.  I can confirm that there are 219 oil paintings across the Dover Collections.  If you would like to look at them, they are displayed on the Art UK website at https://artuk.org/visit/collection/dover-collections-416.
  2. Zero.
  3. Not applicable.
  4. Zero.
  5. 24 of the Dover Collections were on display at Maison Dieu and 9 at Dover Museum.  The others are accessible online at https://artuk.org/visit/collection/dover-collections-416.  The museum has a temporary exhibition programme, and the collections are rotated through the temporary gallery as part of this programme.
